The Basics
Photok is a private photo and video vault designed to help you store and protect your content.
By using Photok, you agree to these Terms. Please use the app responsibly and in accordance with applicable law.
You are responsible for the content you store, import, export, or share using Photok.
Your Data
Your photos and videos are stored locally on your device.
You are responsible for keeping your device, password, recovery phrase, and backups safe.
Depending on how you use Photok, it may not be possible to recover a forgotten password or restore access to encrypted content. If you lose your password, recovery phrase, device, or data, your content may become permanently inaccessible.
For important content, we recommend keeping separate backups.
Open Source and Photok Pro
The core of Photok is open source and licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
The version available through Google Play may include additional proprietary components and optional Photok Pro features that are not included in the publicly available source code. These components are not licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Apache License 2.0 for the open-source parts of Photok.
Forks and modified versions of Photok are independent projects and are not officially affiliated with Photok unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Photok Pro
The Google Play version may offer optional premium features through a one-time in-app purchase.
The available features and price are shown before you complete your purchase.
Purchasing Photok Pro gives you access to the premium features but does not give you ownership of Photok or access to proprietary source code.
Payments and refunds are handled through Google Play and are subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
Availability and Data Loss
Photok is provided “as is.” While we work hard to make the app reliable and secure, no software or storage system is completely free from bugs, failures, or data loss.
We cannot guarantee that Photok will always work without interruption or that your data will always remain accessible.
Please do not rely on Photok as your only backup for important or irreplaceable content.
Nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes
Photok and these Terms may change over time. The latest version of these Terms will always be available on this page.
